14B NCAC 15C .1003      SALES OF ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGES IN TERMINAL

(a)  An air carrier offering service at airports boarding at least 150,000 passengers per calendar year may sell alcoholic beverages in passenger rooms upon obtaining retail on‑premises permits and following the application procedures set forth in 14B NCAC 15B .0102.

(b)  Providing Complimentary Alcoholic Beverages. Instead of obtaining retail permits to sell alcoholic beverages, an air carrier qualifying pursuant to Paragraph (a) of this Rule may serve complimentary malt beverages and wine to passengers in passenger rooms under the following conditions:

(1)           the air carrier submits a detailed diagram of the carrier's passenger room, showing its exact location in the airport;

(2)           the Commission provides the air carrier with written authorization to serve complimentary malt beverages and wine; and

(3)           the air carrier maintains the written authorization in its principal office at the airport.
